Season Permit Holders and Hourly Rates Effective: Daily beginning May 22, 1999 until September 6, 1999Court assignments and payment of fees will be arranged through the attendant on duty.

Permit Holders Must:

Sign register before playing.
Not make back to back reservations
Not make reservations in another name
Phone-in reservations by permit holders will be taken beginning at 7:45 AM
Notify the courts/attendant if canceling a reservation
Responsible for guests fees and check in.

Rainchecks:
Rainchecks will only be given when the tennis courts are deemed to be unplayable by the tennis staff.
Players who do not show up after the tennis courts have been rolled will not be entitled to a refund.
No raincheck after one (1) hour of play.
Even in the case of rain, reserved courts should be canceled by permit holders.
Reserved Courts:
Reserved courts will only be held open for five (5) minutes past the scheduled time.
Miscellaneous Rules and Regulations:

No vehicles allowed in court area or on courts.
No alcoholic beverages or other intoxicants or glass containers shall be permitted in or near the tennis court area.
Tennis shoes must be worn at all times.
Walk-in reservations start at 7:30AM
All players and guests are required to be courteous at all times.
(a) No abusive language or conduct shall be permitted.
(b)1¸ hour limit when players are waiting for a court.
All advanced reservations booked on 1¸ hour time periods and within designated time periods.
The Tennis Court Administrator shall decide and resolve any scheduling problems.
Tennis Lessons:
Only Avalon Recreation Staff members are permitted to give tennis instructions on the tennis courts owned or controllable by the Borough.
The Department of Recreation offers group and private lessons. Registration for group lessons can be made through an attendant at the courts.
The backboards may also be reserved by the instructors if needed for the lesson. The fee for one (1) two (2) week session. (eight (8) group lessons) is $30.00 or $5.00 per day and is non-transferable. Fee for private lessons is $20.00.
