RESOLUTION NO.
SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING STANDING COMMITTEES AND
DESIGNATING APPOINTMENTS THERETO
BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Council of the Borough of Avalon, County of Cape
May, State of New Jersey that the following Standing Committees be established pursuant to
Section 2:1-4 and 2:2-1 of the Code of Revised General Ordinances, 2000 of the Borough of
Avalon as well as N.J.S. 40:69A-36.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED there exists a need for the establishment of nine (9)
committees: Budget, Finance & Technology, Insurance, Library Trustee, Planning/Zoning
Board, Public Safety, Public Works & Utilities, Recreation, Economic Development/Chamber of
Commerce Liaison and Human Resources; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that one (1) member of Council shall be appointed as
an “Ad Hoc” member to serve as an alternate on those committees he/she is not already
appointed to in order to maintain continuity in the event of the absence of a committee member;
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Council President Ellenberg has made the
following appointments to the aforesaid committees for the period from July 1, 2008 to June 30,
2009:
