Avalon’s next Green Fair will be held on Saturday, October 9th, 2010! Last year’s Green Fair was a huge success, and this year, there will be more exhibits, new information, and new ways for you to save money, and protect our environment! Avalon’s first-ever Green Fair on October 10th, 2009 attracted more than 1,000 people to the Avalon Community Center who learned how easy it is to ‘go green’, reduce energy costs, and earn rebates at the same time. New Jersey residents will be able to receive rebates on the purchase of ENERGY STAR qualified clothes washers, dishwashers, and refrigerators, thanks to federal stimulus funding through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). All applicants must be residential customers residing in New Jersey to be eligible for the rebates. $35 up to $100 in rebates are available at all retailers throughout New Jersey.
